Anna “Neptune” Nix
Hello, my name is nix. i am aN artist Born in pittsburgh, Pennsylvania who now calls las animas county colorado home. primarily focusing in paint, ink , and photography, my work spans across many mediums including the literary and fiber arts. in over 10 years of working as a professional artist, i’ve found my favorite approach is to learn and refine the skills an idea requests rather than try to fit every project into a single format.
Across all of these mediums, my work mostly seeks to question the viewer on their relationship to the concept of paradise. at the root of this question, its purpose is to inspire relational values of respect and reciprocity rather than siphoning and exploitation.
While I pose this question many ways, my works aim to recreate the elaborate world of my own dreamscape in a way that invites those who see it to walk in. The deeper I am able to draw the viewer into a space born of my own imagination, perhaps the more inspired they will be to imagine what their own world can look like outside of the current paradigm.
over the last ten years, i’ve worked as an illustrator, designer, photographer, and painter from small pages to giant walls.
I’ve lead creative teams, offering art direction and consulting services to individuals as well as large organizations. My multimedia background gives me a unique and dynamic perspective that can enliven a variety of projects.
